Johnson CAD Resources (JCRI) provided full-time CAD Drawing and management services for the $620M project.  Comprised construction of two 497 foot cooling towers to recycle heated water eliminating discharge back into Mount Hope Bay. The towers cool the water prior to being rerouted back into the plant. The project also includes numerous structures such as pump stations, large box culverts, chemical storage building, and discharge structure.

  • Deliverables included over 1,000 drawings
  • Developed CAD drawing templates and standards.
  • Produced pre-cast fabrication and numerous erection drawings for form work, site coordination drawings, General Arrangement drawings
  • Developed 3D drawings to better understand the complex geometric design of the tower lintels.
  • Utilized Navisworks to manage clash detection.
  • Production of drawings were completed both on and off site.
  • Drawings were completed for the following structures: cooling towers, pump stations, large box culverts, chemical storage building, and discharge structure.
